Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature a mix of butterflies and dragonflies – just in time for Spring. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I love treats and I REALLY love when I get extra treats!  It’s always a treat for me to participate in the InKing Royalty Blog Hop. And when I can participate and also share a sneak peek at new product, it’s extra special.

The beautiful new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog will debut on May 4th.  It’s contents are over the top gorgeous.  There are magnificent new on trend colors, fabulous stamp and die bundles, and beautiful, beautiful papers.  My card today offers a peek at a few of the of the products in the upcoming Simply Elegant Suite.  The name of the suite caught my eye – go figure – but the contents of the suite just grabbed my heart.  It’s a lovely suite of products.

For my card today, I chose to use three products from the Suite – the Elegantly Said stamp set, Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Simply Elegant Trim.  The sentiment is also from a new stamp set – Pansy Patch.

Foil embossed greeting card made with Stampin' Up! products

I fell in love with this specialty DSP when I saw it for the first time, and I couldn’t wait to get it in my hands.  The silver and copper foiling is so very pretty.  It really does all the work for you.  I created a ribbon effect using multiple strands of the twine.  The top of the card is stamped using the flower stamp from Elegantly Said  in Memento Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder for a shine to mimic the DSP.

A Closer Look

The butterflies are cut with dies from the Fluttering Dies in Copper Foil.  Even those these dies are retiring soon, you can use the new Brilliant Wings die set to get the same effect.   The top butterfly is punched from an old punch I have.  The sentiment is from the upcoming  Pansy Patch stamp set  and it’s flanked with two Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Greeting card and coordinating envelope made with Stampin' Up! products.

Of course, with a card this fancy, the envelope needs to be well-dressed too.   I simply covered the envelope flap with a bit of the gorgeous DSP and the ensemble is complete!
