This Week’s Card

A Little Floral Happiness

There’s something quietly joyful about crafting a greeting card with flowers. Florals feel timeless and personal—perfect for saying thinking of you, hope this helps, or simply hello. I think that’s why florals are my absolute favorites. The card shown here leans into that feeling with soft peach tones, clean white blooms, and rich green accents that frame everything beautifully.

What really makes this design shine is its balance. The floral shapes are layered and dimensional without feeling busy, and the fan-like layout of the beautiful Sunny Stems die set by Spellbinders Paper Arts draws your eye across each bloom before settling on the sentiment. It’s elegant, calm, and cheerful all at once—the kind of card that feels good to both make and give.

Whether you’re crafting for a friend, a family member, or just for the joy of creating, a floral-focused card like this is a wonderful project to slow down and enjoy.

Design Highlights to Notice

  • Soft, cohesive color palette – Peach, white, and green work together effortlessly
  • Layered florals – Dimension adds interest without overwhelming the design
  • Textured background elements – Subtle texture keeps the card from feeling flat
  • Simple sentiment – A short message lets the artwork do most of the talking

How to Re-Create This Card

Step 1: Use the Spellbinders Linen 3D Embossing Folder to emboss an A2 panel and add to the front of an A2 card base.

Step 2: With the Sunny Stems small die set, cut the fan-like shape with the largest die and emboss with the Brick by Brick 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to the card front.

Step 3: Create a frame by using the two largest dies. Cut two pieces, stack and glue to the card front.

Step 4: Die cut the florals using the dies from the set and soft peach, white and green card stock. Assemble the flowers and add to the card front.

Step 5: Add your sentiment and pearl embellishments to complete the card.

Give It a Try ✂️💐

If this card made you smile, that’s your sign to give it a try! Don’t worry about making it perfect—handmade cards are all about personality and heart. Swap out colors, try different florals, or adjust the layout to make it your own.

Once you’ve created your version, take a moment to enjoy it… then send it off to brighten someone’s day. And if you feel like sharing, I’d love to hear how it went and what you’d change next time. Happy crafting!
