Story of Elegance

It’s Friday!  Yay!!  Well, for me, everyday is Friday but Yay! for those who are still grinding it out.  There are so many things that I enjoy about retirement.  It’s funny though, I’m busier in retirement than I ever was when I was working.  Retirement has given me more time to do things that I love – spending time with my family, of course – that’s always on the list,  but there’s also genealogy research, taking photography classes, and my newest love – card crafting.  It’s such a blessing to spend your time doing what you love.  I wish that for everyone.

Today I’m crafting using another of our holiday bundles – Shine Bright.  This bundle is comprised of the Shine Bright stamp set and the Stitched Brightly coordinating dies.  Just like our other bundles, this set allows you create beautiful cards in no time flat, so when you are able to take some time to unwind, you can create with maximum productivity.   Here’s a look and the stamps and dies in this bundle.

I

Here are a few of the cards that I created today – what do you think?  I’d love it if you would take a second to leave me a comment below.

To create the first card, I layered panels of Merry Merlot, Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock.  On the white panel I stamped the tree and the sentiment with Merry Merlot ink and added Gold Metallic Pearls to embellish the tree.

For the second card, I die-cut a trio of trees onto a panel of Old Olive card stock and adhered it to a card base made with Very Vanilla card stock.  I created the background for the top of the card by using the spatter stamp from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in Golden Glitz Delicata ink.  The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive ink.  Ribbon and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots add a finishing touch.

Finally, I married snowflake die cut panels in Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler card stock on a Whisper White card base to create the last card.  The sentiment panel is a layer of offset squares cut from the Stitched Squares dies set and the new Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer.  The sentiment is stamped in coordinating Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow inks.
