Welcome to InKing Royalty’s August Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Autumn Weather, so prepare yourself for projects that are filled with warm tones and beautiful nods to the upcoming change in weather. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Story of Elegance

Autumn is my favorite season of the year.  I love it for so many reasons; the beautiful colors, the wonderful warm days and cool evenings and it ushers in the holiday season (my favorite time of the year) with such majesty.

When I think of autumn weather, I think of falling leaves and a time for rest and preparation.  My card today has a focus on leaves and highlights one of the beautiful choices in our new Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper and our New Brushed Metallic foil card stock.  Using the Beautiful Autumn bundle, here’s what I created.

Beautiful Autumn Wreath card

Here’s how I created this card:

1: Cut a 4 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Brushed Metallic card stock and adhere to a card base made of Thick Very Vanilla Card stock.

2: Cut a  4″ x 5/14″ of Gilded Autumn DSP and adhere to the Brushed Metallic card stock.

3:  Cut a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ of Very Vanilla card stock and stamp sentiment on the bottom right.  (I embossed the sentiment using craft store Copper embossing powder that I had on hand.)  Adhere sentiment panel to the DSP.

4: Use the maple leaf  punch from the Autumn punch set to punch leaves in all colors of the Brushed Metallic card stock.  Use glue dots to adhere  leaves randomly to one side of a Gold Hoop embellishment.

5: Thread three Acorn Trinkets through a small piece  ribbon or twine and adhere to the bottom on the leaves on the gold hoop.  Trim any ribbon or thread.  Add Stampin” Dimensionals to the back of the leaves and adhere the hoop and an extra leaf to the sentiment panel.

Here’s a closer look at the hoop.
