Story of Elegance

Hello and Welcome!  Thank you for stopping by.

You know, there are so many perks that come with being a  Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  Of course, there’s early access to fantastic products and great discounts.  But what you may not know, as a demonstrator you join a family of talented crafters who love sharing their ideas and passion for paper crafting.  And we have so much fun!

Last week my Stampin’ Up! team leader challenged our team to create 15 projects in 15 days.  My upcoming posts will feature the cards that I made for the challenge.  (My  last three posts were actually challenge cards.)

Today I’m showcasing the Snowflake Wishes Bundle.  This sweet little bundle debuted in our August-December 2020 mini catalog and is comprised of the Snowflake Wishes Stamp set and the So Many Snowflakes dies.

Snowflake Wishes Bundle

I like snowflakes and I decided instead of having white snowflakes on a Night of Navy card, I would put Night of Navy  snowflakes on a white card!  TIP: Reversing colors or using non-traditional colors is an easy way to get a new twist on a project.

Snowflake Wishes Thank You

I love the play on words with this sentiment, so I wanted to highlight it in a circle of tiny snowflakes.  I found the perfect little stamp in the Essential Everything stamp set.

Here’s how I created this card:

1: Cut a 4 1/4″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Night of Navy card stock and adhere to a Thick Whisper White card stock  card base.

2: Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and die cut with Layering Circles dies.  Die cut a Night of Navy circle one size larger than the sentiment.  Adhere the sentiment to the Night of Navy circle and adhere to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere the Whisper White panel to the Night of Navy panel.

3:   Use the snowflake stamp from the Essential Everything to stamp around the sentiment in Night of Navy ink.

4: Die cut 3 different size snowflakes in Night of Navy card stock using the So Many Snowflakes dies and adhere to the card panel.

5: Add Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to the center of the snowflakes and around the sentiment.

Add a die cut snowflake to the envelope flap and your project is complete!
