Story of Elegance
Christmas is truly a wonderful time of the year. If your’re a giver, this is especially true. I love giving. It doesn’t have to be extravagant – just something heartfelt. A well-timed card or telephone call are always great gifts because you’re giving of yourself. I love sending Christmas cards. I think this is a gene that I inherited from my mother – she is the QUEEN of card-sending. She sends hundreds of cards throughout the year, and at Christmas she sends more than 300 cards. No, that’s not a typo!
I don’t know that I’ll ever send as many cards as she does, but I love sending cards to my ever increasing circle of friends and family. I view every card that I send or receive as a gift. Sending Christmas cards helps me to stay mindful of the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. That is why Christmas is so wonderful to me. Regardless of what may be going on in my life, this greatest gift is always with me to share in my joy or comfort in my sorrow. And that reality leaves me simply gleaming inside.
