Story of Elegance
Hello My Crafty Friends! Happy Friday!
You know, there is something extraordinary about receiving a heartfelt greeting card. The act of creating and giving a handcrafted card is a powerful way to convey love, encouragement, and faith. When we create a card, we are indeed crafting kindess. Our tiny works of art have the ability to uplift spirits, bring joy, and provide comfort.
Today, I’m crafting using the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Courage and Faith.
I like this stamp set because it is full of encouraging and faith-filled words. Encouragement has the remarkable ability to inspire and motivate. Whether it’s a simple word of praise, a supportive message, or a reminder of one’s strength, encouragement can be so refreshing for the person who receives it.
In the same vein, faith is a powerful force during times of uncertainty or struggle. It offers solace, hope, and a sense of purpose.
Imagine the impact of a beautifully crafted card arriving unexpectedly, filled with heartfelt words of encouragement and faith. Seems pretty awesome right? I totally agree.
Here’s my creation for today:
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Gold Foil – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Crumb Cake card stock – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Very Vanilla card stock – 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)
- Die cuts:
- None
- Punches:
- None
Add the Crumb Cake card stock panel to the Gold Foil panel, then add to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick Very Vanilla card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Stamp the sentiment and the two floral images onto the center of the Very Vanilla card stock panel using Pecan Pie ink.
Color the floral images using Lemon Lolly Light and Old Olive Light Blends.
Add a knotted bow made with Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged ribbon.
For the inside, I stamped and colored the floral image to match. I also stamped the floral image (not colored) on the back in the opposite corners to create a shadowed image.
To complete the project, stamp and color the flowers on the envelope front and the flap to coordinate.
Finding Your Creative Elegance
In the end, the beauty of paper crafting lies in its ability to connect us with our own creativity and with others. It’s a chance to slow down, unplug, and create something beautiful and meaningful with our own two hands. So why not give it a try today? You never know where your creativity might take you.

Beautiful card, Sheryl! I love what you said about words of encouragement & faith.
Your card is such a nice way to let someone know that you hope God is watching over them or to tell someone who is battling an illness that God is with them.
Thanks for sharing!
