Midweek Crafting Inspiration: Creative Kit Volume 1
Sometimes we find ourselves in need of a card, but very little time to create or worse yet, finding our creative mojo is taking a little break.
During these times, it’s great to have a kit that we can use to spark those creative juices quickly.
The Creative Kit Volume 1 is a Dream
If you have been following me, I’m sure you quickly realized that I adore florals.
I’ll take them in any form, stamps, dies, patterned paper, stencils – all florals are welcome in my craft room.
The thing I love about the Creative Kit is that it is LOADED with beautiful florals. From the die cut toppers, to the rub-on foiled stickers this kit contains stunning florals in a beautiful coordinated color pallate.
Creating Today’s Card
I started creating by opening up the kit and looking at all the lovely components. After taking a peek at everything, I chose one of my favorite patterned papers and decided to use my Squashed Oval Fundamental Dies and Layered Leaves 3D Embossing folder to make my card.
The Finished Card
Here’s the card I created using these products.
To make this A2 sized card, I started by cutting a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Rose Gold foil card stock and added it to an A2 card base made of white card stock.
I cut a panel of dark grey cardstock and added it to the cardfront.
Using the Layerd Leaves 3D Embossing Folder, I dry embossed a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel of white card stock and added it to the card front.
Next I used 2nd and 3rd largest of the Squashed Oval Fundamental Dies to die cut the Rose Gold Foil card stock and Patterned Paper from the kit.
To anchor the ovals, I added a strip of Gold Foil to the card front then used foam adhesive to add the layered ovals to the card front,.
For the sentiment I used a sentiment from the kit and and mounted with foil onto the card front.
I completed the project by adding Color Essential Gems by Spellbinders.
Super easy and elegant.
