It’s a Wonderful Wednesday – Welcome!

Hello and thank you for stopping by to check out my card today.

It’s been fairly cold here in Central Ohio and I am happy that I am able to stay indoors and do the things that I need to do.

Well, maybe it’s more correct to say doing the things I enjoy doing. There’s lots that I need to do that are still waiting – laundry and dusting jump to the top of that list. 😉

I have a set of new sentiment stencils so I decided to share a card that I made using one of them.

Here’s the card for today:

I created this card by layering a 5 5/8″ square panel of dark green cardstock to the front of a 6″ square card base.

Next I inked the sentiment (Mini Drop Shadow Sentiments – Volume 1) and the floral image (Japanese Anemone) onto a 5 1/2″ square of white cardstock. For this one I used Matt Blending Inks by Lisa Horton Crafts ( Antique Pink, Rhubarb Jam and Garden Sage.)

Then I used the Japanese Anemone 3D Embossing Folder to dry emboss the flower and added it to the card front.

I completed the project by adding Silver Wink of Stella to the leaves and flower centers and embellished with Silver Mix Color Essentials by Spellbinders.

The design of the drop shadow sentiments are great for cards for males or those who don’t like florals.

Thank you for stopping by.

I’ll be back next Wednesday with another fun card to share, and I hope you’ll join me.
