Story of Elegance

Hi and Happy Friday!

I’m always looking for easy ways to make pretty cards.  The Ephemera Packs in the Annual Catalog (Expressions in Ink) and in the Mini Catalog (Blackberry Beauty) are just the trick.  All you need is a little bit of paper, ink and of course a stamp to make something fun.

Here’s the card I made:

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

To recreate this card,  cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock and adhere to a card base made of Thick Basic White card stock. Emboss a 3 3.4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White card stock using the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and add to the Evening Evergreen panel.  Cut a panel of Expressions in Ink DSP to  3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ and add to the embossed panel.

Stamp your sentiment on the bottom of the DSP using Evening Evergreen ink.  I used a sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set.  Frame the sentiment with gold from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack.  Add a gold flower from the Blackberry Bliss Ephemera pack.

To finish the card I added a bow made with gold thread and embroidery thread colored with Evening Evergreen stamping blends to the flower base and 3 gold craft store rhinestones..

Complete the project by  adding DSP to the flap of the envelope to coordinate with the card.  Super easy!
