Happy Tuesday. I hope that you had a wonderful long weekend and a great start to your week today.

I can’t believe that we are in September already and the first 7 days are almost done. Wow! It looks like we are sliding into fall at full speed and the holidays won’t be far behind.

Speaking of holidays, the card that I’m sharing today is one that I crafted a week or so ago for an Inking Royalty Challenge. I love these challenges, because they do just that. Challenge me! This particular challenge was a color challenge and we were given the colors Cinnamon Cider, Real Red and Old Olive as the required colors for our projects.

When I saw this color combination, I immediately thought of the Gingerbread and Peppermint DSP that is part the new Suite with the same name in the July – December mini catalog. This paper is so fun!

Since I was looking at the DSP, I pulled out the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle, and here’s what I came up with.

To recreate this card, cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock and adhere to a card base made of Thick Basic White card stock.

Cut a piece of Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and add to the card base.

Cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock to 1″ x 5 1/4 and add to the bottom of the DSP, leaving a 1/8″ band of the DSP showing.

Die cut the bells in Real Red, and the decorative strip in Basic White; cutting to 5 1/4″ and adhere to the card as shown.

Stamp the happy holidays sentiment in Real Red ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock and trim to 1/2″ x 2 3/4″. Add to the decorative trim using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish by adding a bow made with Gold Shimmer ribbon using Glue Dots.
