Story of Elegance
It’s true – everything isn’t always black and white, but today, I decided that it should be. I love the simple elegance of black and white. It’s easy and it’s fun. A dear friend of mine loves black and white together and I had her in mind as I crafted my cards today. As promised, I’m continuing to showcase all the wonderful holiday crafting products that Stampin’ Up! offers.
Today, I’ve used several products – In the Woods die set and the Winter Woods, Merry Christmas to All, and Nature’s Beauty stamp sets to create my all black and white cards. Take a look:
I really like the way the Softly Falling embossing folder helped to create a sense of falling snow in this card. This card uses the In the Woods dies, and the sentiment from the Winter Woods stamp sets. On a base of thick white card stock I layered panels of basic black and embossed whisper white card stock. The layering is the same for the sentiment which is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. A silver snowflake embellishment that I found at a local craft stored made a perfect topper for the tree.
This simple card softly speaks the holidays. I created it using layered panels of Silver and Basic Black card stock. The decorated panel is stamped in Versa Mark and embossed with Silver embossing powder on the background of the tree and the sentiment. I’ve used Rhinestone Basic Jewels to surround the sentiment, adding a sparkling finishing touch.
The sentiment on this card is from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set. Unlike most of our stamp sets, this set is comprised completely of sentiments and provide dozens of ways to offer a wonderful holiday greeting. I used this card to show how easy #simplestamping (creating with only stamps and paper) can be. The added bonus with this card is that I created it using our Nature’s Beauty stamp set. In addition to sharing a card that adds a little more kindness in the world, I also get to support mental health organizations across the country.
A closer look at the stamps included in the Nature’s Beauty stamp set. Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to mental health organizations across the country for each stamp set sold. How cool is that?!
