Story of Elegance

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It’s cold and rainy outside but thankfully it is warm and cozy inside,  I’m so grateful for all the blessings in my life and there are many.  I try to keep this fact in the forefront of my mind, even when life tries to tell me otherwise.  I’m happy that I get to spend time doing what I love, and I hope you do too.  Today I’m sharing cards I created using the Dashing Deer bundle comprised of  Dashing Deer stamp set and the coordinating Detailed Deer die set.  During the holidays, like everyday,  we all have an occasion to say Thank You to someone in our lives .  The cards I’ve made – – a holiday thank you card in several colors and papers – – are sure to fit the bill and up my stash  so that I have plenty to share during the season.

Christmas card with green deer and plaid paper from Stampin Up

A dash of Shaded Spruce

I’ve used this simple design to create a cheery holiday Thank you Card.  I started by adding a strip of our beautiful Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper to the bottom of the front card panel.  I added a strip of Shimmering Gold ribbon and  die cuts from the Detailed Deer die cut set.  The sentiment panel was created with a stamp from the Dashing Deer stamp set and the Stitched Shapes and Layering Squares die set.  Easy, peasy!

A happy mistake

I unintentionally layered a panel of Real Red card stock on to the card, so I decided to add a scrap piece of Christmastime Is Here designer series paper to it. The great thing about stamping is that there are no mistakes!  I just added die cuts, a sentiment panel and changed the orientation of the inside sentiment shown below and voila! I’ve got another card to share.  Yay!
