Story of Elegance
Hello! Here we are at the end of another week. Hooray! And with it comes another opportunity to be grateful for another week of life. Regardless of what is going on in our lives and in our world, if you take just a moment, I’m sure you can find something for which to be grateful. If nothing else, you can be grateful for this moment. Despite it’s joys and sorrows, ups and downs, and everything in between, Life is Beautiful.
I think it was the name of today’s stamp set that drew me to it initially. Life is Beautiful. And then when I saw the beautiful tree and all it’s possibilities, I had to have it! I love trees. They are such a testament to the glory and creativity of God. I’m grateful for them.
The lovely Life Is Beautiful stamp set is so versatile, allowing you to create for any season, summer, winter or fall.
With Fall fast approaching, I’m continuing to build my card stash for the season. Here’s the fall color scheme I used for today’s card.
I think trees are so lovely all by themselves, so I decided that would be my design for today’s card. I also like that this design fits with my ongoing quest to create simple and elegant cards. 🙂
Here’s how I created this card:
1: Emboss a 4 1/4″ x 5 3/8″ panel of Brushed Metallic card stock with the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder and adhere to a Whisper White card base.
2: Cut a 3 1/8″ x 4 7/8″ piece of Cajun Craze card stock and adhere to the embossed panel.
3: Stamp the tree and leaves onto a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ panel of Whisper White card stock. I stamped off the leaves to soften the colors a bit.
4: Use the Thinking of You stamp to stamp in Versa Mark and heat emboss with Copper embossing powder.
5: Adhere the completed panel to the Cajun Craze panel and add 3 Champagne Rhinestones under the embossed sentiment.
