Story of Elegance

Friday is here.  Whoo Hoo!

Hopefully, you had a wonderful week and you’ll be able to enjoy a little down time this weekend.

Today, I’m keeping it clean and simple with a lovely birthday card.

It’s a good thing when you can mix and match products to maximize your crafting dollar and Stampin’ Up! products coordinate beautifully.  For this card, I’m letting the Pretty Flowers embossing folder to all the work.  Here’s what I crafted.

Pretty Flowers Birthday

This card is simple and clean, but also soft and elegant.  Love. it.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

To recreate this card, emboss a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock using the Pretty Flowers 3D embossing folder.

Die cut a flower from the Iconic Dies die set and adhere to a  2 3/8″ square of Gray Granite card stock.

Cut a 6 inch length of Gray Granite Ribbon and adhere to the lower third of the embossed panel.  I used the retired Gray Granite textured ribbon, but the Gray Granite Shimmer ribbon will also work nicely.  Add the embossed and ribboned panel to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

Adhere the flower square atop the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment using Gray Granite ink and trim to 1″ x 1/3/4.  Adhere to the side of the flower panel.

Add a Pearl Basic Jewel that has been colored using a Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends marker.

I embossed the envelope flap to coordinate with card and the project is complete.Birthday Card and Coordinating Envelope made with Stampin' Up! products
