Story of Elegance
There is so much to love about Stampin’ Up! products. One of the many things is the beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP) that is part of our line. One of my favorites that will be leaving us at the end of the month is the Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 Specialty DSP.
Specialty DSP is categorized this way because it has a special element that is part of the paper. In this case, it’s beautiful gold foiling. Pictures of these gorgeous papers don’t do them justice, but here’s what it looks like.
This paper is so pretty, it’s easy to let it do the work.
I have crafted with this paper before, but here’s today’s card.
The gold in this foil has the perfect amount of bling and the Gold Embossing Powder coordinates perfectly.
Elegance Made Easy
It’s easy to re-create this card. Here’s how.
Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel of Blushing Bride card stock and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Abstract Beauty DSP and layer the DSP onto the card stock.
Cut a 6″ piece of Frayed Ribbon. I intended to use White ribbon which is available in our current Mini catalog, but realized too late that I never ordered it. I used Blushing Bride (retired) instead. Add the ribbon to the center of the layered panel and adhere to an A2 card made with Thick Basic White card stock.
Use the Basic Shapes dies to cut a hexagon in Blushing Bride card stock. On a scrap piece of Basic White card stock, heat emboss the sentiment using Gold Embossing powder. I used the Sunny Sentiments stamp set for this one. Die cut the embossed sentiment. Layer the two die cuts and adhere to the card using Dimensionals.
To finish the card add 3 Brushed Brass Butterflies embellishments to the sentiment panel.
