Story of Elegance
Hello! Welcome to another fabulous Friday!
If you’ve been around Stampin’ Up! products for any length of time, you know that our product coordination is fantastic. Today’s card showcases how, on occasion, a die can be used to cut images from Designer Series Paper.
That’s the case with the Symbols of Fortune Specialty DSP and the Good Fortune die set. A die from the set cuts the beautiful flower in the DSP.
Here’s the card I made using the lovely die cuts.
I used another piece of the beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper to serve as the background for this card. The green in die cut flowers made it a no-brainer to choose Evening Evergreen to accent.
Elegance Made Easy
It’s easy to re-create this card. Here’s how.
Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel of Calypso Coral card stock and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Abstract Beauty DSP and layer the DSP onto the card stock and add to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.
Die cut 3 flowers from the Specialty DSP and add to the card base.
Use Evening Evergreen to stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Basic White card stock and die cut using your favorite die or cut with Paper Snips. (I used a sentiment and die from the Dressed to Impress stamp and die bundle.) Add the sentiment to the base of the flowers.
Add a bow to the top of the sentiment. I used Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave Ribbon which will be leaving the line at the end of the month. You can grab a spool (or two) on sale for on $4.80.
To finish add Polished Dots embellishments randomly around the card.
