Story of Elegance

Happy Friday!

I hope that your week has been a wonderful one.  I can say that it’s been a great week.  Not that anything in particular has happened.  It’s more that I’ve been particularly grateful this week for all of the many blessings in my life.

One of those blessings are my dear friends.  And it is with that thought that I crafted today’s card.  I love my friends and want to remind them of the wonderful gifts they are in my life.

I really enjoy crafting with the Many Layered Blossoms die set so I paired it with the So Sentimental Bundle and the Tasteful Tile embossing folder.

Here’s what I came up with.

Friendship card made with Stampin' Up!

So Sentimental Friendship

There are so many beautiful colors in the Stampin’ Up! product line.  I can’t choose a favorite.  Each color speaks to me.  This is Balmy Blue paired with Whisper White.

Here’s a closer look at some of the detail:

A Closer Look

These are the steps to create this beauty:

Step 1:   Emboss a 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel of Balmy Blue card stock using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  Adhere the panel to a Thick Whisper White A2 card base.

Step 2: Die cut the flower from the Many Layered Blossoms die set. Use Versa Mark to stamp the centers of the flowers and emboss with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Adhere the embossed flower to the card on top of the panel.

Step 3: Use the 3rd and 4th Stitched So Sweetly rectangular dies to cut Whisper White and Balmy Blue card stock respectively.

Step 4:  Cut three 4 inch strips of Silver Edged ribbon and angle the ends.  Adhere two of the strips in a cross behind the Balmy Blue die cut piece and adhere to the lower portion of the flower on the card base.

Step 5: Stamp the sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on the Whisper White die cut.  Place the 3rd ribbon strip behind the sentiment and adhere to the Balmy Blue die cut.

Step 6: Die cut a small flower from the Many Layered Blossoms die set in Balmy Blue.  Die cut a small outline flower in Silver foil and adhere to the Balmy Blue small flower.  Add Silver Thread (retired) behind the flower and adhere to the corner of the sentiment panel.

Step 7: Add small Clear Rhinestones to the center of all the flowers and in the corner of the sentiment panel.  Don’t forget the center of the small die cut flower.  🙂
