You know the old saying – Don’t knock it till you try it? Well that was me with card kits, until I finally purchased one. I used to think that kits dulled my creativity. Ha! Nothing could be further from the truth!

The truth is that kits make creativity super easy! They come in handy if you are a new to card crafting or even if you’ve been at it for a while. It’s great having what you need all in a bundle and it kits are a great time saver when you need that last minute card. You can work the kit as designed, or add your own touches to it to make it your own. I like to do both. No either/or for me. Give me both!

Today I’m playing with the stunning Gorgeous Posies project kit. It is so lovely and the colors are beautiful together!

For only $32.00 this kit will make at least 16 cards. But, the good news is, you can create even more cards by adding products that you already own to the kit contents. This will really stretch your crafting dollar. Talk about value!

Another think I like about this project kit is that it has a coordinating stamp set. And of course you can use this with any project not just the kit.

Here’s my version of one of the kit designs. I made two simple changes. I layered the pre-printed panel onto a 4 1/8 ” x 5 3/8″ panel of Brushing Bride card stock and put that onto a Thick Whisper White card base and I added a few gold tone rhinestone gems for a little extra bling.

For the second card, I added products that I already own to create this get well card.

So, this is what I did:

Step 1: Layer the pre-pinted panel onto a panel of Petal Pink card stock that measures 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and adhered both to a Thick Whisper White card stock base.

Step 2: Stamp the get well sentiment from the Gorgeous Posises stamp set in Gorgeous Grape onto a sentiment panel from the kit.

Step 3: Use the Poppy Moments dies to cut a flower in Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather card stock.

Step 4: Adhere the sentiment panel and gold foil leaves from the Forever Gold Specialty Designer Series paper to the back of the flower.

Step 5: Heat emboss the the center of the flower in gold.

Step 6: Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the flower/sentiment/leaves collage and adhere to panel. Finish by adding 3 Gold Gilded Gems.
