Story of Elegance

It’s another glorious Friday and I’m happy to share another card with you today.

I’m still playing with the soon-to-be-available Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper that will be coming  August 3 – September 30 2021 during SALE-a-bration.  This is just one of many wonderful products that you can choose FREE with purchase.   You won’t want to miss it.

This DSP was designed to pair with the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, and it does so beautifully!

Here’s the card.

Beautifully Hand-Penned Get Well

I really like this sentiment because it can be used as a Get-Well as I’m doing or it can be a word of encouragement to a friend who is going through a rough patch.  This card is so easy to create and the DSP serves as a great frame for the sentiment panel.

A Closer Look

I opted to heat emboss the flower, but you can simply stamp in black ink to save time.

Elegance Made Easy

To recreate this card,  start with a layer of Pale Papaya card stock cut to 4 1/8″ by 5 3/8″  and add to a card base made of Thick Basic White card stock.

Then cut a panel of Beautifully Penned DSP to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and add to the Pale Papaya card stock.

The sentiment panel has a base panel of Pale Papaya cut to 2 7/8″ x 3 3/8″.  The Basic White layer measures 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″.

Stamp the large flower in Versa Mark and heat emboss using black embossing powder and color using Light Pale Payapa and Light Old Olive Stamping Blends.  The sentiment is stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I used a craft store gel pen to add dots that shimmer like the embossed outline.  The bow is made using silver Simply Elegant trim.

Just like Tuesday’s card, complete the ensemble by stamping the front of the envelope and adding a piece of colored DSP to the envelope flap.

Here are both of this weeks cards.  DSP with color and DSP without.  With Stampin’ Up! products you can create your way!
