Story of Elegance
Welcome to Tuesday! I’m happy to add some much needed cheer in my life and card crafting with my Stampin’ Up! products is just the ticket for me.
Today I’m taking a break from sharing cards from the August Challenge. I have one more to share and I’ll do that tomorrow. I’ve been playing with the Birthday Wishes and a tiny flower die from Well Said die.
Whenever I see a butterfly, my mind often goes back to the days when my granddaughter, now 14, was 3 years old. We had loads of butterfiles in our backyard and when she would see them she would get so excited trying to catch one, exclaiming ” Look MaMa it’s a bubbafly!” So many sweet butterfly memories…… As I crafted this card for a friend I thought of my beautiful granddaughter.
My granddaughter loves pink and I love brown so I decided to pair Petal Pink with Cinnamon Cider for my card.
Here’s how I created this card:
1: Cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Petal Pink card stock and adhered to a card base made with Thick Whisper White card stock.
2: Layer a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of 2020-2022 In Color DSP in Cinnamon Cider to the Petal Pink on the card.
3. Cut the 3 layers of the sentiment panel – The base layer is Petal Pink is 3 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. The second layer is Brushed Metallic card stock – 2 7/8″ x 3 11/16″. The top Whisper White layer is 2 5/8″ x 3 5/8″.
4: Adhere the Petal Pink layer to the center of the DSP.
5: Adhere the Metallic foil to the to the Petal Pink.
6: On the Whisper Whisper panel – Use Petal Pink ink to stamp the Butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set. Stamp the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider ink.
7: Tie a strip of Metallic Ribbon to the side of the White panel and adhere the panel to the Metallic foil.
8: Die cut three tiny flowers from the Well Said die set and adhere Champagne Rhinestones to the center of each.
