Story of Elegance

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Today, I’m sharing another card that I created using two Lisa Horton Crafts products – the Camellia Cluster Embossing Folder and the coordinating Layering Stencils.  I am also using the Spellbinders Classic Backdrop 3D Embossing Folder.

You’re gonna be amazed at how easy it is to craft with these products.

Here’s the card I made:

Elegance Made Easy

Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.

Create a card base from heavy white card stock by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet on the long side at 5 1/2″.   Score one of the pieces at 4 1/4″ and fold and burnish with a bone folder.

Cut the other piece at 4 1/4″  and emboss one of the panels  using the Spellbinders Classic Backdrop 3D Embossing Folder.  Add White Blizzard Glitter Nuvo Drops to each of the raised circles on the  embossed panel.  Set aside to dry.  (Save the other panel or another project.)

Use a panel of white card stock that is at least 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ to stencil the Camellia.  I used Eucalyptus Leaves ink for the flowers and Woodland Moss ink for the leaves.  (Premium Dye Based Matt Blending Ink – Cloud 9 by Lisa Horton).  Note:  I didn’t ink the eucalyptus and the fronds because I fussy cut them out for this card.   (You can see my approach to inking this stencil in the video below.  Same approach with different colors.)

Die cut the stenciled panel using the die that comes with the Embossing Folder, and then emboss the die cut florals.  Trim away the eucalyptus and fronds if needed.

Add the dried panel to the card front and then arrange the embossed florals to your liking.  Trim as needed.

Add a sentiment of your choice.  I used a foiled sentiment from the Wonderful Sentiments set by PinkFresh Studios.

This card has plenty of texture and dimension.  I hope you’ll try it.  Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I’ll be live on Thursday at 7:00pm EST sharing another card.  I hope you’ll join me.

Until next time,

Live Graciously!
