Story of Elegance
Hello and Happy Tuesday!
I hope that your week is off to a great start. My apologies that I didn’t post on Friday, my evening just got away from me last week.
But, happily I’m here today with another card to share.
I purchased a few of the Stampin’ Up! products that will be available next month and I’m happy to share a card I created using the Layers of Beauty bundle (stamp set, dies and decorative masks.)
I’m loving stencils these days, and these masks make quick work of coloring.
I used Stampin’ Up! colors Orchid Oasis, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive and Pineapple Punch for this one.
Here’s the card I made:
Elegance Made Easy
Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.
Create a card base from heavy white card stock by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet on the long side at 5 1/2″. Score one of the pieces at 4 1/4″ and fold and burnish with a bone folder.
Cut a piece of white card stock at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and dry emboss using the Spellbinders Dimensional Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere the embossed panel to the card front. (Note: You can grab this folder on sale from Spellbinders while supplies last. It’s $8.49 marked down from $14.99.)
Use a panel of white card stock to stamp the large flower from the Layers of Beauty Stamp set with black ink. Color the stamped image using the Layers of Beauty decorative masks. I used stencils 1 – 4 and the ink colors noted above.
Die cut the stenciled image using the die from the Layers of Beauty die set. Add the die cut floral to the card front.
Adhere a sentiment of your choice. I used a foiled sentiment from the must have sentiments set by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders.
This card is so easy to create. I hope you’ll give it a try.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I’ll be live on Thursday at 7:00pm EST sharing another card. I hope you’ll join me.
Until next time,

Beautiful card Sheryl! Do you use just one shade of blue and go over design several times using different stencils to get the deeper colors?
Thank you Janice. I’m glad you like the card. 🤗
I used Orchid Oasis for the blue flowers and I inked some of the stencils lighter than others to get the color variation.
