Midweek Crafting Inspiration: Compositions SET C

I am continuing on my quest to use products that I have in my stash that I either haven’t used at all or only used once.

I started by pulling out the Compositions Set C – Chevrons and Blooms by Lisa Horton Crafts. Then I pulled out the Octagon Fundamentals die set and the splatters press plate.

I played around with a couple of different designs and finally settled on today’s card.

Creating Today’s Card

For today’s card, I’m back with my beloved florals. I was drawnn to the floral dies in the Composition Set C die set and decided to let those florals be the focus.

The Finished Card

Here’s the card I created using these products.

To make this A2 sized card, I started by embossing an A2 panel of white card stock using the Branching Out embossing folder by Spellbinders and added it to the card front.

I used the Splatters Better Press plate and Mojito Ink to press a panel of white card stock and cut using the largest Fundamentals Nested Octagon die and added to the center of the embossed panel.

The topper was created using layers cut from Silver Foil and white card stock using the two smallest rectangle dies from the set.

Next I die cut two sets of flowers and leaves. I inked the flowers with Hokusai Navy, Artic Frost and Early Sunrise inks by Lisa Horton Crafts and arranged them on the die cut.

For the sentiment I used a a sentiment from the Fabulous Fonts – Stamps and Dies by Lisa Horton Crafts.

I love the final look, and it was so easy to accomplish.

There’s a lot of nice shimmer on this one, that the camera doesn’t do justice to.
