Hello!

Well, I was hoping to be here last Friday sharing another card, but my kitchen plumbing had other ideas. Fortunately, that is all behind me and I have a great new bundle from the new Mini Catalog to share.

Today the new Crane of Fortune bundle is in the spot light along with the gorgeous new Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper (DSP). You know I adore foiling in DSP and this DSP delivers!

Look at how pretty this paper is. The picture really doesn’t do it justice. Everywhere it see gold, it’s actually foiling. Ooo La La!

Here is the card I created using this lovely paper.

I love the sentiment that I used for this card because it can be used for any special day. It would work for a wedding, retirement, promotion, anniversary, or a birthday. I chose the latter for today’s card, because that’s what I needed. 🙂

With the greeting on the outside of the card, a simple sentiment is all that’s needed on the inside. I opted to heat emboss Happy Birthday to keep it simple. (This particular one is from Calming Camellia, but anyone you have on hand will work just fine.)

Elegance Made Easy

Simple, easy and elegant. That’s my style – and today’s card fits the bill.

To start, I cut a 4 1/4″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Gold Foil and added it to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

Then, I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece a DSP from the Symbols of Fortune set.

To create the sentiment panel, I heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Metallic Embossing powder and added two die cuts from the Good Fortune die set; one each of Basic White card stock and Gold Foil onto a 3″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock. I added the sentiment to the card using Foam Adhesives sheets for a little extra dimension.

Finally, I added a sweet little bow at the base of the die cuts with Mini Glue Dots.

So pretty to look at and so much fun to make!
