Story of Elegance

Happy Friday!

Today I’m crafting with the new Honeybee Home stamp set.  I love the images in this set and I think it’s perfect for a cute and simple card.  The mixed font sentiments are a plus for me as well.

Here is the card I created using this sweet stamp set.

Honeybee Home Family

I was really happy to see the sentiments in the this set.  My family is everything to me and I try to make sure they know that everyday.  I especially like sending cards to them letting them know I’m thinking of them.  I opted to heat emboss the sentiment in gold to bring attention to it.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

Here’s how to recreate this card.

To start, cut a 4 1/4″ x 5 3/8″ piece of So Saffron card stock and emboss it using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  Then add it to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

Next, using a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the flower in Evening Evergreen ink and heat emboss the sentiment beneath it using Gold Metallics Embossing Powder.  Color the flower using  So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam Blends.

Finish by adding a bow to the base of the flower with Mini Glue Dots.  I used gold Simply Elegant Trim and two retired ribbons.
