Story of Elegance

Hello!

I’m delighted that you decided to stop by today.  I’m still looking for the hour that I lost to Daylight Savings time on Sunday.  The only thing about that change that keeps me smiling is knowing that Spring is near.  Yay!

To celebrate soon coming spring, I chose to create a bright and cheery thank you card using the Dahlia Days bundle.  This bundle is comprised of the Dahlia Days stamp set and the Detailed Dahlia dies.

Here’s what I created.

Thank You card made with Stampin' Up! products

Dahlia Days Bundle Thank You

The bright cheery Granny Apple Green DSP as well as the black and white DSP is from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack.

This beautiful paper is only available to Stampin’ Up! hosts and it’s a huge pack.  There are 48  12 x 12 sheets (4 each of 12 double-sided designs.)  Look at the pretty designs.

Elegance Made Easy

Here’s how to recreate this card.

To start, make the following cuts:

  • Basic White Card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Granny Apple Green Pattern Party DSP – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Black and White Pattern Party DSP – 1″ x 5 /14″

Layer the cut DSP onto the cut Basic White cardstock piece as shown and add the panel to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

Stamp the large Dahlia onto Basic White card stock 3 times with Polished Pink in and die cut them using the die from the Detailed Dahlia dies.

Next stamp 4 of the three leaf and 2 of the fronds in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz respectively; and die cut using the corresponding dies from the Detailed Dahlia die set.

Attach the die cut leaves to two of the die cut Dahlias and add to the top and bottom of the card overlapping the two panels.

Using a scrap of Basic White card stock, stamp the sentiment frame and sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and die cut.  Adhere the sentiment to the third die cut Dahlia and add to the card using Dimensionals.

To finish add 7 Pearl Basic Jewels  randomly around the flowers.
