Story of Elegance
Happy Friday my crafty friends! -And those who are not 😉
What’s better than stamping with a beautiful stamp set? Stamping with a beautiful stamp that that you got for free! For those of you who chose the Detailed Dogwood stamp set as your free with purchase item during Sale-A-Bration that ended last month, this card’s for you.
I think this flower is so pretty and I had to give it a bit more air time before I move on to other products next week.
This is a quick and easy card to make.
Here’s the card I created for today:
You can use your favorite color combination for the side stamping. I chose some of our In Colors – Pebbled Path, Wild Wheat and Cooper Clay.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Copper Clay card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 3/4″ x 5″
- Die cuts:
- Stamp the sentiment using Versa Mark ink onto a scrap of Copper Clay card stock, heat emboss with White embossing powder, and die cut using the circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set. I used a sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set.
- Punches
- None
Layer the Copper Clay panel onto the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Use Pebbled Path, Wild Wheat and Copper Clay ink to stamp the circles using the stamp from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set onto the smaller Basic White panel, then emboss the panel using using the Basics 3D embossing folder. Add the panel to the card front.
Stamp the large dogwood image twice and fussy cut. Layer on top and add to the card front. (I used a Scan ‘N Cut)
Add the die cut sentiment.
Next, add Iridescent Pearls around the flower and to the sentiment if desired. Add a bow made with white ribbon to the flower base.
Complete the project by stamping a flower on the envelope front and flap.
