Story of Elegance

Hi and Happy Friday!

A couple of weeks ago I made a simple card featuring the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.  For the card I’m sharing today, I using that pack again, but this time I’m using the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty DSP and a die cut from the Artistic die set.  I say it a lot because it’s true our products coordinate so well together.

I saw a similar design in the InKing Royalty Blog hop on Wednesday, by my fellow crafter Sheryl Sharp, so I thought this would work well with the products I chose.

Here’s the card I made:

Grateful For You Ephemera

I added a strip of DSP to the bottom of the inside panel.  It makes a pretty statement, and I still have plenty of room for a note.

Elegance Made Easy

To recreate this card,  cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper and adhere to a card base made of Thick Very Vanilla card stock.

Die cut the large leaf from the Artistic die set.

Punch out the double shape (I don’t know the specific name of the shape) and use the remnant as a template.  Trace inside lightly with a pencil onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and trim using Paper Snips.

Stamp the sentiment in Versa Mark onto the cut piece and heat emboss using Gold Embossing Powder.  Add the Ephemera shape to create a border for the sentiment.

Place the die cut on the corner of the sentiment panel and glue on the card front, and you’re done!

Ooops.  Almost.  Don’t forget to dress up that envelope by adding a piece of DSP to the flap.  Now – Done!
