Story of Elegance

Happy Crafty Friday!

Thanks for stopping by to check out today’s project.

My project today is another pink floral beauty featuring the Enduring Beauty Bundle.

For the background of this card, I used one of the retired Stampin’ Up! masks and tinted Cloud Whip.  You can acheive the same look with Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste.

Here’s the card I created for today:

I really like the texture on this card and I like even more that it’s simple to do with just a few swipes of paste.

Elegance Made Easy

Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.

First, make your cuts:

  • Pebbled Path  card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ two pieces
  • Die cuts:
    • Stamp the flower in Pebbled Path ink and color using Enduring Beauty Masks 1-4 and Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive, Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow ink onto a large scrap of Basic White card stock.  Die cut the colored image.
    • Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White card stock and die cut using the sentiment die. (I cut the sentiment twice to fit the wording.)
  • Punches
    • None

Layer the Pebbled Path panel onto the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock.  (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″  piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side.  Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″  (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)

Use colored Embossing Paste or Cloud Whip and a background stencil to create a background using one of the Basic White panels.

Add the die cut floral to the card front using Dimensionals.

Next, add the sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals.

Add a bow made with Silver and White Sheer Ribbon  and Pearls to finish the card front.

For the inside, stamp the flower in Pebbled Path ink onto the bottom corner on the second Basic White panel and adhere to the inside of the card.

Complete the project by stamping a flower on the envelope front and flap to coordinate.
