Story of Elegance

Hello again fellow papercraft lovers!

Welcome to a new and wonderous week.

Today, I’m sharing another easy and elegant card made with the Heartfelt Hexagon Bundle (stamp set and punch) from the Stampin’ Up! January – April 2024 mini catalog.

This is a sweet set that you can use for many occasions, wedding, birthday, thinking of you, and sympathy just to name a few.

I had pink on my mind when I was crafting this past weekend, so both cards I’ll be sharing this week have pink as the focal color.

Here’s the card I created for today:

Elegance Made Easy

Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.

First, make your cuts:

  • Bubble Bath card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic Black card stock – 3 5/8″ x 4  7/8″
  • Basic White card stock –    3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and 4 x 5 1/4″
  • Die cuts:
    • None
  • Punches
    • Stamp the sentiment on Basic White card stock using Black ink and punch using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch

Layer the Basic Black panel onto the Bubble Bath panel and add to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock.  (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″  piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side.  Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″  (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)

Stamp the hexagons onto the smaller Basic White panel, then stamp the flower in the center of each one.  When the ink is dry,  use a small blending brush to blend Bubble Bath ink over the stamped flowers.

Add Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon around the center of the stamped panel and add to the card front.

Next, add the sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals.

Add a bow made with Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon to finish the card front.

For the inside, stamp the flower in Black ink and blend Bubble Bath ink around the stamped flower onto the bottom corner on the larger Basic White panel and adhere to the inside of the card.

Complete the project by stamping a flower on the envelope front and flap to coordinate.

Finding Your Creative Elegance

In the end, the beauty of paper crafting lies in its ability to connect us with our own creativity and with others. It’s a chance to slow down, unplug, and create something beautiful and meaningful with our own two hands. So why not give it a try today? You never know where your creativity might take you.
