Story of Elegance
Happy Friday my crafty friends!
Thanks for stopping by today. As always, I’m thankful for you and appreciate that you come by to see what I’ve been up to.
Today, I’m sharing a card that I made that I would say is a sister card to the one that shared on my You Tube Channel (@elegantsentiments) this week. It features the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle. This bundle is going to get lots of use in my craft room. It is sooo easy to create simple and elegant cards with it.
Here’s the card I created:
I really like all the texture on this card.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Blackberry Bliss card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Basic White card stock – 4 x 5 1/4″ (2 panels)
- Die cuts:
- Use the large flower die to die cut the flower in Basic White card stock.
- Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink and die cut using one of the scalloped dies from the die set.
- Use scraps of Bubble Gum, Fresh Freesia, and Basic White card stock to die cut leaves and flowers using double sided adhesive sheets on the back of the scraps.
- Punches
- None
Dry emboss one of the Basic White panels and adhere to Blackberry Bliss panel and then to the front of A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock using pieces of Foam Adhesive Sheet. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 “.)
Next, color the die cut flower using Fresh Freesia and Old Olive Blends and arrange with the die cut flowers.
Add the die cut sentiment, Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels, and silver thread behind the large flower to complete.
For the inside, stamp the flower in Blackberry Bliss in the bottom corner on the second Basic White panel and adhere to the inside of the card.
Complete the project by stamping a flower on the envelope front and flap to coordinate.
Finding Your Creative Elegance
In the end, the beauty of paper crafting lies in its ability to connect us with our own creativity and with others. It’s a chance to slow down, unplug, and create something beautiful and meaningful with our own two hands. So why not give it a try today? You never know where your creativity might take you.
