Happy Friday!  I hope that your week has been a good one.

As you head in to your weekend, here’s a quick and easy card I made using Lisa Horton Crafts’  Exotic Peony embossing folder and coordinating stencils along with the  Swirling Leaves embossing folders.

You may have noticed that, lately, my designs have been very similar, even though each card is different.

That’s one of the many things that I love about Lisa Horton Crafts products.  When you are crunched for time, as I have been for the last couple of months, you can still create a lovely card quickly.

I’m looking forward to the time when my calendar eases and I’ll have time to be more deliberate in my crafting, but for now, a tweaked design works.  🙂

Here’s the card that I created:

Elegance Made Easy

Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.

Cut a panel of black card stock to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and add to an A2 card base made with heavy white card stock.

Use the Lisa Horton Crafts Swirling Leaves embossing folder to emboss a  4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of white card stock and add it to the card front.

On a 5″ x 6″ piece of smooth white card stock, use the Exotic Peonies coordinating stencils to stencil the floral image.  I used Lisa Horton Crafts Cloud9 Matt Blending inks (Almond Frosting, Dusty Rose and Garden Sage) to color.

Use the die that comes with the Exotic Peony embossig folder to die cut the stenciled image.

Very lightly dampen the back of the die cut image and emboss it using the Exotic Peony embossing folder.  Add the embossed die cut to the card front.

Add a sentiment and embellishments of your choosing. (I used a sentiment and gems from Spellbinders.)

All done!
