Story of Elegance
Welcome to October!
It’s Friday and it’s a brand new month and we’re here to see them both. That’s a lot to be grateful for. I’m grateful for so many things and I’m especially grateful for my friends and family. I have lots of October birthdays to celebrate, so I’m getting started on those cards today. Who knows, I just might actually get them to the post office in time to arrive BEFORE the birthday. It’s not a novel idea, but is it ever a challenge for me!
For today’s card I decided to let one of my favorite papers be the star of the show. I really enjoy the beautiful patterns in the Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper so I chose one to highlight on a birthday card for a friend.

Expressions in Ink
These are the beautiful papers, and here is the card I made.

Expressions In Ink Birthday
The Designer Series Paper is the workhorse for this card. I used the birthday sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set and heat embossed it with Gold Metallics Embossing Powder to coordinate perfectly with the gold in the paper.

Elegance Made Easy
To recreate this card, cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Pale Papaya card stock and adhere to a card base made of Thick Basic White card stock.
Cut a piece of Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and add to the card base.
Next, cut a piece of Basic White card stock to 1 3/4″ and 4″ , stamp the sentiment in Versa Mark and heat emboss with Gold embossing powder.
Cut two 5″ strips of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon and adhere to the top and bottom of the sentiment panel. Adhere the completed panel to the card base.
Add a bow to the sentiment panel to complete. I used a combination of gold thread, white craft store ribbon and gold Simply Elegant trim.

Add DSP to the envelope flap to complete the ensemble.
Here are the products I used for today’s card. You can shop with me anytime!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope that you have a blessed and beautiful weekend. I’ll be back on Tuesday with another card to share.
Until then,
Live Graciously!
