Story of Elegance
Hello and Welcome!
I happened to glance over at the Fitting Florets DSP and decided that I wanted to make a card using the beautiful blue hued print. After playing around with the paper, I pulled out the stamp set too. Well, truth in blogging – the Framed Florets stamp set was still on my craft table from last week, 😉
Here’s the card I made:
The pretty Balmy Blue Textured Paper coordinates beautifully and is an easy way to add texture.
A Closer Look
For the inside, I added a tiny strip of Fitting Florets DSP.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Night of Navy card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Balmy Blue Textured Shimmer Paper – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Die cuts:
- 3 Squares using Stylish Shapes dies and Fitting Florets DSP. 2 of one size and one larger.
- Stamp 3 flowers from the Framed Florets stamp set onto Basic White DSP using Night of Navy ink and die cut with Framed Florets die.
Add the Shimmer Paper panel onto the Night of Navy panel and then add to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock. Note: An A2 card base is made by scoring a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
Arrange the Fitting Florets die cut squares onto the card front horizontally.
Add color to the center of the die cut flowers using Light Balmy Blue Blend and add to the center square using Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White card stock using Night of Navy ink and die cut using the die from the Stylish Shapes dies.
Add Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels to the center of the flowers and around the die cut DSP squares as desired.
To complete the project, stamp a flower on the envelope front and add a strip of DSP to the flap.

Beautiful card, Sheryl!! Thanks so much for the close-up of the Textured Shimmer paper…I was wondering what it looked like. It’s now on my wish list.
Have a great day!
