Story of Elegance

I absolutely adore my Stampin’ Up family!  Last weekend, I was blessed to spend time with two people who are major supporters of my Stampin’ Up! journey.  Please meet my direct and team leader, Lynn Kolcun and our shared upline and team leader Brian King.  They are absolutely wonderful.  I’ve been conversing with Brian online and via email since February and it was a treat to finally get to meet him.  Lynn of course, is local and I get the pleasure of spending time with her whenever I feel the need to do so.  She is so talented and helpful and I love how she shares and cares.  They are so genuine and down-to-earth.  My kind of people. They are two of many gifts in my life that inspire me.

Stampin’ Up Friends

Each year Brian hosts major stamping events that he’s named Stamp-Along.  Having just attended my first one, I’ll tell you they are fabulous! It was a day filled with networking, technique demonstrations, hands-on crafting, card swapping, and of course lots of laughter and hugs.  I had a blast!  And to top it off – there was a cadre of free stuff and little gifts from other attendees.   I love getting free stuff – who doesn’t?

I’m happy to share some of the goodies I received.  Take a look.   WOW!   Brian is THE design King .  I love the cards he designed for this event.  Phe-nom-en-al!!!!   I”m excited and need lots of exclamation points to properly describe this event.   In the picture below, the box with the event title label contains 12, count them, 12 gorgeous projects complete with a detailed instruction booklet.  I’m over the top happy that I made the decision to attend.

Goodies from Brian’s Fall Stamp Along 2019

As you can see from the picture, I received a beautifully decorated tin of Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards.  This gift is the inspiration for my card today.

A Laser Cut Thank You Card

Creating today’s card was easy.  I simply lined the inner panel of the laser cut card with a panel of Petal Pink card stock, and adhered the paneled card to a Thick Very Vanilla card base.  The rose and petals were created using the To A Wild Rose stamp set and Wild Rose dies.  The leaves and rose were colored with Old Olive  Stampin’ Write marker and  Petal Pink ink respectively; and adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink; and the lovely scalloped edge eliminated the need to decorate the envelope.
