Story of Elegance

I’ve spent the past several weeks showcasing many of the wonderful Christmas stamp sets, die sets and designer series papers offered by Stampin’ Up!  As I shared in my post on Tuesday, our Christmas products are very versatile.  I’ll show you in this next series of posts how you can use our holiday products for any occasion.

I’m launching with the Christmas Rose bundle.  It’s a beautiful bundle and can easily be used to create a card for a wedding, birthday, thinking of you, or congratulation. Mossy Meadow is one of my favorite shades of green in the Stampin’ Up! color palate, so I chose to pair it with Whisper White for my congratulation card.

A Rosy Congratulation

For a little softer look, I made the same card pairing Mossy Meadow with Very Vanilla card stock.

A Pair of Roses

To create these cards I first embossed the panel using the Subtle embossing folder.  Next, I stamped the large rose from the Christmas Rose stamp onto a separate sheet of card stock.  Then I die cut the rose and using dies from the Roses die set .  Using Mossy Meadow card stock, I die cut the trellis and the background sentiment panel using Roses dies set and Stitched Rectangle die from set respectively.

A Closer Look

This card is full of texture.  The lovely embossed panel is the perfect backdrop for the die cut trellis, layered sentiment and die cut rose which was raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Basic Pearls Jewels added the final touch of elegance and texture.
