Can you believe that we are already half-way through the second month of 2022? Time waits for no one. I hope that you’re having a fantastic week and month as you live your best life.

One of my new initiatives for this year was to send birthday cards out on time. Well, I’ve missed a few timely deliveries already, but I’m determined to keep at it. I find that it helps having cards ready to go, so today’s card is adding to my birthday stash. Time will tell how well I do at getting them out on time.

I used one of my favorite dies to feature for this card. It’s from the Good Fortune die set, and I paired it with a piece of DSP from the new All Together 6 x 6 DSP.

I really like the way that the shapes on the paper mimic the shapes of the die. And of course, I love black and white paper so it was a perfect pairing.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

Here’s how to recreate this card.

To start, cut a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic Black card stock and add it to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

Next, cut a 4 ” x 5 1/4″ piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock and add it to the card.

Use the “gingko biloba-like” die to cut the leaves using Basic White card stock. I really don’t know what these leaves are, but they look like gingko biloba to me so I’m going with that! 🙂

Cut a 4″ x 1 1/4″ piece of All Together DSP and add it to the center of the Flirty Flamingo panel on the card.

Add the die cut to the card on the left side.

Stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat emboss using White embossing powder. I used a sentiment from the Calming Camelia stamp set. Trim the stamped sentiment to a rectangle of 2 3/8″ x 1/2″ and add to the card as shown.

Finish by adding White Classic Mat Dots.
