Hello and Happy Valentines Day!
As a tribute to the day, I made a simple valentine showcasing one of our new embossing folders that will be available on March 1st. I send valentines to friends and family members too. I believe that Valentines are for everyone, so go ahead and spread some paper love! (As Jimmy Dean would say – you’ll be glad you did. 🙂

The pretty bubbles is one of three textures in the new Basics 3D embossing folder set that will be available on March 1st. Isn’t it a fun look?
A Closer Look
For the inside, I added a tiny hearts stamped in Real Red ink.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, make your cuts:
- Real Red card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ and embossed with the Basics 3D embossing folder.
- Die cuts:
- None
- Punches: Heart Punch Pack – Scallop Heart – Real Red and Heart – Basic White (after stamping sentiment)
Add three strips of red ribbon to the the Basic White embossed panel and layer onto the Real Red panel. Then add to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock. Note: An A2 card base is made by scoring a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock scored and folded at 4 1/4″. I used the ribbon from the Real Red and Burlap Ribbon combo pack. (I think. The spool wasn’t labeled oops.)
Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Basic White card stock and punch using the Heart punch and layer onto the Real Red Scalloped Heart. Add the sentiment panel to the card front. I chose a sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set.
Trim the ribbon, adhere the ribbon to the card front and add a matching bow.
To complete stamp hearts using Real Red ink to the envelope front and back.
