If you were here earlier in the week, you know that I participated in the April InKing Royalty Blog Hop, where the theme was green.

I decided to continue with that theme for today’s card using the Irresistible Blooms bundle.

I went with a brighter green today – Parakeet Party. It’s such a cheery green and I like it.

Here’s the card I made:

This card features another of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders that you can find exclusively online. I used one of the dies in the Irresistible Blooms die set to mimic the shape of the embossing folder.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.

First, make your cuts:

Parakeet Party card stock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and 3″ x 4 1/4″
Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed with the Basics 3D embossing folder
Die cuts:
- Use the circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set to cut a circle for the sentiment
- Use the lines/circles die from the Irresistible Blooms die set to cut the design
Punches:
- None

Add the Parakeet Partycard stock panel to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock. Note: An A2 card base is made by scoring a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock scored and folded at 4 1/4″.

Emboss the die cut Basic White panel using the desired Basics 3D embossing folder and add to the card front.

Add the lines/circles die cut to the front of the small Parakeet Party panel and trim to fit. Add to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the die cut circle and adhere to the front of the card.

Add Pearl Basic Jewels randomly on the die cut.

I added a little spatter using a stamp from the set to add a little color to the bottom of the inside panel.
