Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! Just in time for Spring, we are embracing some (or all) of Stampin’ Up!’s gorgeous greens for today’s hop. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Story of Elegance

As I was thinking about green, the first thing that came to my mind after green grass was a card that I made in February using the lovely Hello, Irresistible DSP.  I created this for a blog post, but never used it.  Who knew, I would get an opportunity with the InKing Royalty Blog Hop?!  We have so many beautiful greens in our color family, and I’m elated to know that Pretty Peacock (a green of sorts to my mind) is returning to our line on May 2nd.

I crafted the card I’m sharing using products from the online exclusive Irresistible Blooms suite of products.  More specifically, I used the Irrestible Blooms Bunde, the Hello Irrestible 6x 6 Designer Series Paper, and one of the Basics 3D embossing folders to create this card:

Irresistible Blooms Get Well

I love all the beautiful colors in the Hello, Irresistible DSP and this Pretty Peacock pattern is worth showing off.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.

First, make your cuts:

  • Pretty Peacock card stock  – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Hello Irresistible DSP – 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
  • Die cuts:
    • Use the circle die from the Irresistible Blooms die set to cut the pattern into the Basic White panel
  • Punches:
    • None

Add the Pretty Peacock card stock panel to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.  Note:  An A2 card base is made by scoring a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock scored and folded at 4 1/4″.

Emboss the die cut Basic White panel using the desired Basics 3D embossing folder.

Adhere the DSP square to the back of the embossed panel and add to the card front.

Stamp the flower and the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White card stock using Pretty Peacock ink.  Die cut the flower using coordinating die from the Irresistible Blooms die set and the sentiment using a die of your choice.  I used one from the Stylish Shapes die set.

Arrange the flower and sentiment onto the card front and add a bow.

To complete stamp a flower on the envelope front and add coordinating DSP to the envelop flap.
