I hope that today is a good day and you are making it the best day that you can.

I’m sharing a card today that is sweet and easy.

It’s comprised of products from a few of my favorite crafting companies Spellbinders, Lisa Horton Crafts and Stampin’ Up!

I used inks and card stock from Stampin’ Up!, dies and card stock from Lisa Horton Crafts and an embossing folder, press plate with coordinating die and embellishments from Stampin’ Up!

Here’s the card for today:

To make this A2 sized card I started by inking a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of white card stock using a blending brush and three inks from Stampin’ Up!: Cinnamon Cider (top), Pecan Pie (middle) and Early Expresso (bottom.) (I used a really light hand with my blending brush to keep the tones as muted as possible.)

Then I embossed the inked panel using the Petite Bow 3D Embossing folder by Spellbinders and added it to the front of an A2 card base.

On a separate piece of white cardstock I used the Fundamentals Nested Squashed Ovals to create a frame for the flowers that I die cut using cardstock from Lisa Horton Crafts (Mermaid White Core) and Stampin’ Up! (Early Expresso) and the Layered Anemone die set by Lisa Horton Crafts for Spellbinders.

Next added the die cut frame to the front of the card using foam tape and glued the flowers to the inside of the frame. I placed a foam square behind both flower heads for added dimension and to allow a few of the petals to rest on the frame.

I added a sentiment that was foiled using Silver Glimmer foil from Spellbinders onto the Early Expresso card stock. The foil plate and dies for the sentiment are from Spellbinders (You Are Everything.)

The final step was to add Silver Mix Color Essential Gems by Spellbinders.

And just like that you have a lovely birthday card to share!
