Story of Elegance
Happy Friday Crafty Friends!
I’m writing this post on Thursday evening, with hopes that tomorrow morning it’ll be a bright and sunny day here in Central Ohio. (Even though the forecast is for a cloudy day, I’m keeping hope alive.!) 🙂
I so adore the Layered Floral 3D embossing folder. It’s easy to create an elegant card with it.
Here’s the card I created for today:
I used the same technique from my video last week and changed it up a bit. For details on how to create the panel, you can refer to my Elegant Sentiments Weekly Card Share #25 for details.
Elegance Made Easy
Following are the quick steps to recreate this card.
First, follow the details as noted above to complete the front panel.
Next, make your cuts:
- Boho Blue card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Embossed and colored panel – 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Basic White card stock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Die cuts:
- Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White card stock and die cut using the die from the Thoughtful Expressions die set.
- Punches
- None
Layer the Boho Blue panel, add the completed embossed panel , then adhere to the front of an A2 card base made with Thick White Basic White card stock. (Note: An A2 card base is made by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Thick card stock in half on the long side. Score the 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″ (half sheet) of card stock at 4 1/4 ” and fold at the score line.)
Fold a strip of Boho Blue Textured Ribbon behind the die cut sentiment and add to the card front.
Finish by adding colored pearls to the sentiment panel
For the inside, partially emboss the side of second Basic White panel using the Layered Floral 3D embossing folder and adhere to the inside of the card.
Complete the project by embossing the envelope flap to coordinate.
