Story of Elegance

Happy Friday!  I’m happy that you’re here!

Today I had a quick play with Flash paste and the Mariposa embossing folder by Lisa Horton crafts.

I still marvel at how easy it is to create something lovely Lisa Horton Crafts products.

I pulled out the Mariposa embossing folder and Old Gold Pearl Flash Paste to create today’s card.

Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

Elegance Made Easy

Here are the directions to create this A2 sized card.

On a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ piece of white card stock, ink the panel to create a color of your choice.  ( I used Lisa Horton Crafts Cloud 9 Premium Dye-based Matt Blending Inks in Garden Sage.)

Dry emboss the panel and paint the butterfly wing tips and some of the butterflies with Old Gold Pearl Flash paste by Lisa Horton Crafts.  I thinned the paste with water and used a small paint brush to apply to the panel.

Add the completed panel to the front of an A2 card base.

Use the Best Wishes &  Thanks XL sentiments to die cut the sentiment in coordinating color and the shadow in gold foil; assemble and add to the card front.

Embellish with gems if desired. I used Fashion Gold gems by Spellbinders.

I made a second card using black card stock and the Old Gold Pearl and Special Crystal Fashion pastes.  It was really hard to get a picture that reflects how pretty is card is, but at least you can see how I applied the pastes to the card.

I hope that you’ll give this quick and easy card a try.

I wish you a beautiful weekend with time to craft a little kindness!

Please come back on Tuesday to check out my next easy and elegant project.

Until next time,

Live Graciously!
