Story of Elegance

Well hello and Happy Tuesday!  I hope that your day went well and your evening goes even better.

It’s been a crazy busy day for me and I still have a meeting yet to attend.  On days as busy as today, when I need to craft in a hurry it’s Paper Pumpkin to the rescue.  I don’t know if you were able to order the June kit, but I did, and all I can say is, WOW!  I love this kit.  This kit coordinates with the beautiful Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper.

The kit comes with everything you need to craft 9 beautiful cards.   I always make a few of the cards exactly according to the kit design, but I start with an alternate card.  Looking at the fantastic kit designs first makes it super easy to come up with an alternate  design.  And you know me, I love easy!  Here’s what I made today.

June 2021 Paper Pumpkin Alternate 

For the card panel I used a 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″ panel of Fresh Freesia card stock and a card base from the Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I added to the background by using strips of Basic White card stock and Foil Sheets that I had in my leftover bin; cutting them to size. The patterned leaves are from the kit, the berries die from the Tidings & Trimmings die set (Whisper White)  and the Sprig Punch (Fresh Freesia)  combined to create the foliage.  I added in a few twists of the Simply Elegant Trim as well.  The sentiment panel and sentiment are from the kit and used Versa Mark and Silver Embossing powder to heat set the sentiment.
