Story of Elegance

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today it’s all about Paper Pumpkin, and let me tell you,  my October Paper Pumpkin kit did not disappoint!  I was able to make several of the planned designs from the kit, but of course I had to make a couple of alternatives.

There are so many benefits to Paper Pumpkin.  It’s economical – Everything you need is included in the kit. It’s portable.  You can craft anywhere with this kit.  Add some scissors and a stamping block and you can complete the kit during your lunch break or anywhere.  It’s exclusive – You get an exclusive  stamp set with each kit that is only available to Paper Pumpkin subscribers.  Paper Pumpkin kits make great gifts too.

Today, I’m highlight one of the alternatives that I made.  Trees are one of my favorite things, and although I’m not a big fan of snow unless I’m indoors looking out, I really like snowflakes.  This kit gave me both!  Be still my heart. 🙂  Here’s the alternative card I made to highlight my favorites.

Peaceful Christmas Card

I used the snowflake stamp from the kit to create the background for this card.  Silver heat embossing adds a little extra pop to the background and the sentiment.Close up of a Christmas card made with Stampin' Up! products

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

To recreate this card, stamp off three rows of  trees using Shaded Spruce ink onto a 2 1/2″ x 3″ piece of Basic white card stock.

Silver heat emboss snowflakes onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock and add to a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

Add a 1 1/2″ x 5″ piece of DSP to the left side of the embossed panel.  I used a piece from the kit but any coordinating DSP will work nicely.

Adhere the tree stamped piece to the card as shown using Foam Sheets.

Embellish the card with three gems from the kit.

I embossed the envelope flap to coordinate with card and the project is complete.
