Story of Elegance

Hello!

Happy Thursday!

As you know, I normally post on Friday, but there’s so much going on, I didn’t want to wait.  (And I have a busy evening so, posting today makes a lot more sense.)

This biggest thing right now is the Last Chance Sale. This sale offers discounts on many (not all ) items that will be leaving the line.  An important thing to remember about this sale is that it is a while supplies last sale.  So, if there is something you want – order now.

There are great values to be had in many of our product category.  I’m mimicking my upline Brian King in sharing some of the items that are on sale below:

I just wanted to highlight these savings but there are others.  There is a complete list at the end of the post.

Ok – On to the card that I created.  I finally purchased the Ranunculus dies to coordinate with the Ranunculus Romance set.  They came this week, so I used my go-to design for a quick and elegant floral card.

Here’s what I created:

Hello greeting card made with Stampin' Up! products

Ranunculus Romance Hello #3

I really like this color combination and the card is super easy to create especially with the dies.   I heat embossed the sentiment, but it’s a bit hard to tell in the close-up.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made Easy

Here’s how to recreate this card.

To start, make the following cuts:

  • Basic Black card stock 4 ” x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White  card stock – 3 1/8″ x 4 3/8″
  • Blushing Bride  – 3″ x 4 1/2″

Emboss the Basic Black panel using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. My favorite embossing folder!

Layer the 3 panels as shown and add to an A2 card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.

Use the large floral die and Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp on scrap piece of Basic White card stock, die cut and add to the card.

Stamp sentiment in Versa Mark onto a scrap piece of Basic White card stock, heat emboss with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and die cut.  Add the sentiment to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finish by adding a bow at the base of the flower.  I used a craft store brand, but any coordinating ribbon will do.

Quick and easy. Love that!
