Story of Elegance

Well Glory!! I’m so happy to finally have time to post today’s card.  This card has been ready to share for nearly a week, and today I can actually do it.  Woo hoo!

I hope that things have been well for you since my last post.   As I shared last time, I really like the new Shaded Summer stamp set and I created another card using the same design as my last post, but this time with a different color scheme to achieve a different look and feel.

Here’s card #2 using the Shaded Summer stamp set.

Greeting card made with Stampin' Up! products

Shaded Summer Hello

I just love sending random paper hugs, so I am always making a card that says, hello, thinking of you, or just because.  Do you ever take time to just count your blessings?  Let me tell you, I have A LOT that I’m grateful for.  There too much to list here, but  one thing is certain – I am blessed to have many wonderful women in my life, some family by blood or by love and others whom God just put in my path.  I like to make sure that they know they matter to me in word and deed.  A lovely greeting card helps me do that.  It’s one of the many reasons that I love, love, love, card crafting.

A Closer Look

Elegance Made EasyThe thought that goes into the Stampin’ Up! product line makes it so easy to create  beautifully  and easily!  They take the guess work out of it and that makes me happy.   The new Polish Pink In Color is so pretty, even to people like me who aren’t necessarily “pink people.”   The more I worked with this color to make this card, the more I like it.

To create this card,  cut a 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ panel of Basic White card stock and emboss it using the new Pretty Flowers embossing folder.   Then cut a panel of Polished Pink card stock 3 3/8″ x 4 7/8″ and center onto the embossed panel.  Cut Basic White card stock to 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″.  Stamp the large flower  and the sentiment on the Basic White panel with Polished Pink ink.  Punch the corner design using the Detailed Trio punch. Layer the white panel onto the Polished Pink panel and mount onto a card base made with Thick Basic White card stock.  Make a bow using Polished Pink Open Weave ribbon and add to the base of the flower using glue dots.  Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the corners.

To finish the project  stamp the envelope front and flap.  Voila!  Your lovely card is complete!

There are only a few days left to take advantage of the Connect, Craft and Collect $25 special.  That’s $25 EXTRA dollars in Stampin’ Rewards that you can use to purchase anything in our new Annual Catalog or the January-June mini catalog.  This special ends on Monday, June 14th.  Don’t need that much for yourself?  That’s ok, our products make WONDERFUL GIFTS for the crafter or wanna be crafter in your life.
