Story of Elegance
The reality of the circle of life means that one time or another there will be a need to express sympathy and share words of comfort. I like to have a few sympathy cards on hand at all times. This makes it easy to get my expression of caring on it’s way quickly. I’ve created a few cards to share with you today, that unfortunately will be used promptly.
I love the layers and the texture in this card, and the colors are very soothing. To create it I embossed a panel of Whisper White card stock using the Eyelet Lace embossing folder. I stamped the flowers in Petal Pink and Old Olive inks using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set; and ran a strip of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon across it. The layers that support the sentiment panel are die cut from the Painted Labels and Everything is Rosy die sets, and the sympathy sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I added a few flecks of of color throughout the panel using an Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.
Again for this card, I stamped flowers using a stamp from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. The ink colors are Powder Pink and Old Olive. I embossed the frame using the Heirloom Frame folder; and then layered it onto the stamped panel. The sentiment for this card is from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set.
The beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper adds the color to this card. I added an embossed panel created with the Layered Leaves folder. I used dies from the Detailed Band die set and added a band of Metallic Edged Ribbon in Petal Pink.

WhT a beautiful way to showcase those stamp sets and dies. It really shows the versatility.
I love the layers and textures of the card. I also love that you are telling the “secret” of how to make them.
Thank you Doreen! It’s fun to share what I do and let others see how easy it is to do. I’m glad you liked the cards. Thanks for stopping by.
