Story of Elegance

Happy Friday ya’ll!  Well, I have decided that today is Friendship Friday; and I’m celebrating with a few Friendship cards that I’ve crafted using Pretty Peacock ink and paper from Stampin’ Up!  I like experimenting with color and I’m working on using all the beautiful colors.  I’ve noticed that I tend to gravitate to either black and white or pastel colors so it was fun to use a more saturated color today.

All three of my cards today feature Pretty Peacock paired with white, and I think they’re just lovely together.

There is a ton of texture and dimension to this card.  I die cut the bottom of the base panel using the Poppy Moments die set.  There’s a strip of Whisper White card stock that has been embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder under a strip of Silver Metallic-Edge ribbon.  I die cut the Poppies and Leaves using a Poppy Moments dies and adhered them to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Rhinestone Basic Jewels accent the flower centers and add a little bling to the die cut in the panel.

The cute little poppies from the Painted Poppies stamp set are adorable sitting atop the Pretty Peacock colored ledge created from the Painted Label die set.  The sentiment from the Beautiful Friendship set is stamped directly onto the Whisper White card panel.  Pearl Basic Jewels and a bow of Polka Dot Tulle ribbon add some soft detail.   I edged both of the panels using the Detailed Trio punch.  As the name implies, you can create 3 different corners with this handy punch.

Flowers are the name of the game with this card.  I used the Country Floral embossing folder to create the background panel; and topped it with a white swirl from the Painted Labels die set. I stamped poppies using a label die from that same set.  I added dimension by adhering the flower and sentiments panels with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

That’s it for this week.  I hope that you have a fantastic weekend.  Come join me again on Tuesday!  Until then, give a little love and

Live Graciously!
